NEW FILM IN DEVELOPMENT  -  In addition the the DVD outlined below, a new film project is in the works.
Research compiled by The OTS Foundation will form the basis for a ground-breaking presentation that flies beyond the shores of Malta
to encompass the ancient Mediterranean world at the time of humankind's biggest single development: the Neolithic Revolution.
Experts in a wide variety of fields provide threads in a tapestry that brings to light a previously unfathomable time before history.
As humankind moved out of the Fertile Crescent and across the seas into Europe, people left clues that may unlock secrets of the birth of civilization.

In the meantime, you can learn much more about Malta's Temple Culture . . .

 NTSC  WIDESCREEN
105 minutes

Structured in three parts of 35 minutes each, the first segment is an introduction to the temples, with placement of where and when.

The second segment presents a deeper architectural, engineering and anthropological focus.

The third segment centers on new research such as archaeo-acoustics and the possible role of sound as a motivator for the invention of the temples.  Links with other early Mediterranean societies are suggested with a curious chain of “coincidence”, old documents, and DNA studies as they relate to the Temple Culture.

New light on the ancient world comes from temples and artifacts left by amazing prehistoric builders more than a thousand years ahead of Stonehenge and the pyramids. For the first time anywhere, an in-depth look at a mysteriously advanced people who created gigantic stone monuments on the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo. It took years to assemble the data.  It took experts in a wide range of studies to bring their specialties and observations together before anyone would understand the implications. What have we been missing?

A grand illustration of humankind at the turning point.  New research implies that a desire to harness sound effects may be at the root of the invention of sacred architecture. An examination of overlooked evidence suggests links with the ancient Levant and an influence on later cultures like the Minoans and the Phoenicians, perhaps even megalithic Great Britain. Bridging from hard science to theory, this pioneering film delivers compelling incentive to take another look at what we thought we knew about the past.  Angles of interest range from anthropology and architecture, to art history and ancient religions, to physics and bio-behavioral science.

Filmed on location on Gozo and Malta.  Principle presenters include archaeologist Dr. David H. Trump (Cambridge) who excavated at Skorba Temple in Malta, and FAIA architect, Prof. Richard England (University of Malta).
