Working with multi-disciplinary researchers in the archaeology of sound, we have detected something important about human physical response to special sound in the world’s oldest monumental spaces. We want to apply what we have learned from antiquity to help people in the modern world. We propose an unprecedented modern construction. Exploiting the symmetrical nature of cymatic pattern, scaled to a precise multiple of the desired tone, this structure becomes a powerful expression of sound in architecture as the room becomes an instrument.
For research – a controlled environment for an extended study of neurological impact of certain resonant sound on brain activity
For therapy – a multi-sensory tool for treatment of addiction, depression and social disorders, as well as memory and cognitive disorders
For wellness –a space where people can feel safe to share and to receive sounds that impress and connect us on a primal level, as well as practice self-guided and structured meditation
For education –an experiential mini-museum for student groups and a curious public to learn something about the physics of sound, its role in human development and the advent of western civilization
