The list is long of productions that chose the islands of Malta for location production.  Come and you will see why.

Although not as old as Gobekli Tepe or the other Tas Tepeler sites currently being excavated in Turkiye, Malta's prehistoric limestone temples remain the oldest free-standing buildings in the world.  Combined with artifacts, undisturbed burials and other recovered material, the collection represents the richest portrait of western Neolithic life in archaeological evidence.

Before independence as a Nation, 150 years as a British Protectorate left their mark on the Malta we visit these days.  There is also a Maltese language that is semitic in origin - possibly rooted in the Aramaic of Phoenician colonization before the Romans took over and witnessed the shipwreck of St. Paul.

The national airline, Air Malta flies to major cities throughout Europe and beyond.  Flight time from London or Istanbul is about 3 hours, from Frankfurt about. 2 ours; from Rome about one hour.  There is a ferry from Sicily., ca. 60 miles to the north.

The islands of Malta enjoy a mild climate, usually with abundant sunshine.  There could be a brief storm, and they are quite spectacular with so much sky and surrounding sea.  Dressing for March can range from shirtsleeves to jacket and sweater in the winter.
